Swinton Queen Primary School

Welcome to our school

Queen Street, Mexborough, South Yorkshire S64 8NE

What are we doing about COVID-19 at Swinton Queen Primary School?

In school we are following advice from the DfE which is updated on a daily basis. The Government continues to stress that personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.

We have now welcomed back our year 6 children and this is the last year group to return before September following the Government's announcement.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time and we urge you to continue to remain safe.

Please share this document with your children IF they are in one of the groups who will be returning to school in the next few weeks. We hope that it will help to show children how school has changed and explain the new systems and procedures in light of the guidance given to schools.

If your child is one of the critical groups still attending, can we ask they come to school with a sun hat and sun cream already applied. The water fountains in school are no longer in use. As a result all children will need to bring their own water bottle. If you know your FS1 child will need a change of clothes, please can you ensure they bring them with them when they attend.

Children who meet the criteria and continue to attend school can be provided with a cold lunch.
